What inspired you to a Work Psychologist/ Talent DevelopmentProfessional?
I've always been good at understanding people, supporting others to grow and nurturing relationships and hence felt a career that allows me to do just that would help me maximize my strengths.
What did you do to achieve it?
I ensured I invested in getting the right qualifications and certifications to build credibility. I worked hard to grab any opportunity that came my way to practice and hone my skills. I also actively looked at building and expanding my network.
What motivates you to volunteer as a mentor?
As a shy and withdrawn youth myself, I know there were mentors in my life who helped me transform and become the person I am today. Being a mentor allows me to pay it forward to those youth who perhaps need me as a catalyst for their own growth.
How have you benefited from mentoring?
It has helped me keep in touch with this generation, become a better parent to my teenage daughter and feel a tremendous sense of fulfillment knowing I have made a difference.
